Is settlement guaranteed if I keep extending my visa?
No. Not every route leads to settlement, and time spent in some routes does not count towards a qualifying period. Checking that your current route actually leads where you intend to go is a basic but frequently skipped step.
How far ahead can settlement planning start?
From the first grant of permission. The earliest decisions, including which route, which employer and how travel is recorded, shape the settlement application years later.
What if the rules change before I am eligible?
Rules do change, and no adviser can prevent that. What planning does is reduce your exposure: understanding which parts of your position depend on the current rules, and keeping more than one option open where that is possible.
Does a blueprint guarantee ILR?
No. It sets out your position, the risks in it and the options available. Decisions on applications rest with the Home Office.
