The regulation of immigration advice in the UK

In the United Kingdom it is a criminal offence to provide immigration advice or services unless you are authorised to do so. Advisers are either regulated by a designated professional body, or registered with the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA), the statutory regulator formerly known as the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC).

Registered organisations are authorised at a level that determines the types of work they may undertake, and are subject to the regulator’s code of standards, audit and complaints processes.

Our regulatory position

MichelleBelle Immigration & Compliance Solutions is the trading identity of MichelleBelle Limited, a practice established in 2008 and regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority.

IAA registration number: F201800082. The registration is currently recorded with the regulator under the trading name MichelleBelle Immigration Solutions, which is being updated to match our public identity. The practice is led by Peju Ojemuyiwa, authorised at IAA Level 3, the level at which more complex immigration matters may be handled within the regulatory framework.

MichelleBelle is a regulated immigration advice practice. It is not a firm of solicitors and does not hold itself out as one.

Scope of our advice, and complaints

We advise within the scope of our authorisation. Where a matter falls outside it, we will say so and, where we can, indicate the type of adviser you need.

If you are unhappy with our service, our Complaints Procedure explains how to raise it with us and how to escalate to the Immigration Advice Authority if we cannot resolve it. The IAA’s own complaints route is published on GOV.UK.
