The self-sponsoring business route is open to anyone who satisfies the following:

Has experience, skills or qualification(s) within the area of the business they want to establish.
Has a business idea or has identified a pre-existing UK business to takeover.
Has adequate resources to support the proposed business..
Ideally, has a person who is settled in the UK or a British citizen to take on the responsibilities of the Authorising Officer of the sponsor licence.
Has the ability to sit and pass an approved English language test at Level B1*

The Business set-up and sponsorship process
is categorised into stages:

Establishing a UK based company, which involves a guide on business plan preparation, introduction of strategic partners, guide of opening a business account and preparing and advising you on sponsorship licence application.
Creating and providing your company with a Human Resource Pack.
Assisting you obtain a certificate of sponsorship after the sponsor licence is acquired.

Extension of this Visa

The route gives you a Skilled worker visa which is valid for 3 to 5 years and can lead to a permanent settlement in the UK also known as an Indefinite leave to remain.
